They don't call it Winter Steelhead fishing for nothing. It was a frigid day on the Klamath river with temperatures starting out in the teens and maybe reaching a high around 32. For those willing to brave the cold there are some nice adult fish in river. My guide friend Scott Eastman and I fished together, today, landing 6 adult fish up to 7 pounds. We landed all our fish while side drifting roe soaked in Pro-Cure brine or back trolling crawdad plugs lathered up with Pro-Cure crawdad gel.
