Trout fishing is good across the reservoirs. 18- to 24-inch trout are taking nymphs, Woolly Buggers, and Rooster Tails. Anglers on Adams-McGill are catching fish with trout and night crawlers. For black bullhead catfish, try a night crawler two to three feet below a water bobber, or a light weight with a nightcrawler a foot up from the bottom.

Striped bass in the 1- to-4-pound range have been caught through casino row. Anchovies and trout swimbaits are recommended choices. Black bass anglers are targeting the area of Laughlin Lagoon and Big Bend State Recreation Area. Rainbow trout stockings have ended for the season, but fish are still taking spinnerbaits and nightcrawlers in areas with cover.
